Urban Asset Solutions has successfully completed targeted rectification works on an established bio-retention system at Falkirk Parade, Redland Bay, restoring the functional integrity and hydraulic performance of this key piece of WSUD infrastructure.

The scope of works included:

• Removal of accumulated sediment and weed species
• Reconstruction of filter media profile to design specification
• Restoration of inlet and outlet structures to ensure optimal conveyance
• Replanting with appropriate species to support filtration and pollutant uptake
• Verification of hydraulic conductivity and surface levels

These remediation works will ensure the asset continues to meet its intended performance objectives for stormwater quality improvement and flow attenuation.
