Mackay Regional Council recently engaged Ecosol to install four Net Tech Systems as part of their Water Sensitive Urban Design Policy. Located on Australia’s east coast with the Great Barrier Reef and the environmentally diverse islands of St Bees and Keswick just off-shore, protecting our waterways is of significance importance to Council.
The Ecosol Net Tech treatment devices were selected as an efficient, and cost effective, primary treatment solution designed specifically to capture and retain gross pollutants and anthropogenic materials conveyed in stormwater runoff. They form an integral part of any stormwater treatment train approach.
The Ecosol team travelled to Mount Pleasant to install four Ecosol Net Tech devices on behalf of the Mackay Regional Council. The devices were installed on various sized outlet pipes draining into a small culvert running through the rear of Emmanual Park. The team safely and efficiently installed all devices in one day, with minimal disruption to the surrounding area and local residents.
Over the coming months and years these Ecosol Net Techs Devices will significantly reduce pollutant loads into the culvert and downstream receiving waterways.
