A collaboration between Southern Ports, GHD, and Urban Asset Solutions has led to the successful designing, construction, and commissioning of a bespoke tertiary stormwater treatment system at Berth 2 of Esperance Port as part of its capital works program.

This innovative system was custom-designed to address the specific site conditions and anticipated runoff challenges, including particulate and colloidally bound pollutants.

After nearly 12 months of operation, the system has delivered exceptional results, consistently achieving significant reductions in pollutant concentrations. The success of this project is a testament to the proactive

“can-do” attitude shared by all involved parties.
