Innovative Trash Rack Design Saves the Day

Ecosol was engaged by the Parramatta City Council to provide an efficient, low-maintenance, and cost-effective solution for the Harry Gapes Reserve stormwater drain as part of Council’s water sensitive urban design strategy. The stormwater easement had become an eyesore and a safety issue for the general public. Council required a visually attractive and effective solution to the ever-increasing stormwater pollution problem at the site.

In close consultation with Council, Ecosol designed and constructed a purpose-built stainless-steel Trash Rack System.

Careful consideration was given to the final design to ensure it was able to withstand the harsh site conditions and did not impact on the hydraulic capacity of the drain.
